The issue with the jumping mouse pointer is often related to the GPS signal, Windows is reading it by mistake as a mouse/touchscreen signal. This a Microsoft issue, not a Panasonic problem or an issue with your laptop and a simple registry patch is the solution. The issue is known since the days of Windows XP up to the latest Win10 and Win11 versions, in fact it is triggered by a certain OS update.
Use the steps below exactly as listed in order to apply the patch that should fix it:
1. REBOOT the laptop (not shutdown) and when you see the Panasonic logo on the splash screen, press a couple of times F2 from the keyboard to access the BIOS. Next, use the right arrow from the keyboard to navigate to the Advanced tab and highlight the "Serial Port Settings" submenu and press Enter to access. Highlight the GPS feature and press Enter to change the setting to Disabled, when ready press F10 and Enter to save and reboot.
In case you do not use or need the GPS feature, you can leave it Disabled in the BIOS for now and the issue will never appear again, also can ignore the
2. Let the laptop to load the OS, download GPS patch from the link bellow:
Copy/paste the link in the address bar of the internet browser and press Enter. On the webpage, click on the Download button, the file that will be downloaded is "GPSRegistryPatch_v2.00l12_19A_19B_W764_ss9974.exe"
3. Locate the downloaded file (usually if settings are not changed, it should be in the Download folder on the Local Drive C). Select the file in the folder and press Enter to execute or double click on the file, confirm with Yes to continue and it will create a new folder in the Local Drive C named as /Util2/Drivers/GPS, access that folder and it should contain two files "GPS" and "Pinstall".
- RIGHT click on the "Pinstall" file and Run as Administrator, confirm with Yes to continue. Next double click on the GPS file and confirm with Yes to continue etc.
4. Reboot the laptop and access the BIOS and to Enable the GPS feature and when ready press F10 and Enter to save and reboot, wait for the OS to load and confirm if the patch was applied successfully, if the mouse pointer will jump or not.

Before you download and execute the file, please access Local Drive C and delete the Util2 folder so the new content do not mix. Next download the file and execute the steps above. There will be a small difference, the new folder will contain additional files, please execute them all and test (after applying the files, you need to Restart the OS).
